Accommodation

We have one guiding principle in selection of camps and lodges for our safaris; we want you to be pleased when you arrive and satisfied when you leave the camp. We pick very comfortable yet not unnecessarily costly accommodation, providing tasty, local cuisine and impeccable, friendly service.

The standard of our camps is above average, with ensuite toilets, inside and outside showers. All camps accommodate any dietary requirements and food is freshly prepared, often from local produce. In most of the camps, electrical charging facilities are also in your ‘rooms’. Your tents or bungalows are on the doorstep of nature, allowing you to experience wilderness as never before, with the sound of hippos, elephants or lions lulling you to sleep. We want you to be as close to the action as possible. All of our Botswana camps are in private concessions, with wildlife practically moving through the camp. It’s not uncommon that animal encounters and sightings happen just a few metres from the camp.

In Uganda, the accommodation we choose are as close as possible to the ranger stations where the great ape treks, eliminating long morning drives and thus enhancing the overall experience. In Serengeti, camps selected are close to the ‘action points’ yet nicely secluded from the most crowded areas.

Anyone who requires more detailed information on particular camps we select can contact us at any time.

Vehicles

Our general safaris have 4 persons per vehicle (max 5: single and 2 x couples/partners consent to share a row in the car), while photographic safaris have 3 persons per vehicle (max 4 in case we have couples/partners willing to share the rows) assuring that each photographer has a full row for themselves.

Overall max number of participants for general safaris is 10, and for photography tours 7.  All vehicles have fully open sides which assures freedom of movement and photographic flexibility even with 600mm lenses.  In selected concessions, we use fully open vehicles to allow for an unprecedented experience of being close to nature (only available in winter months of June-August).  Regardless of safari type – general or photography-focused – everyone has a window seat 😊  In Uganda, we limit the group to 7 participants to ensure we have exclusive trekking of chimpanzees or mountain gorillas in the same group (limited by law to 8 persons)  and have comfortable transfer in vehicle between locations with max 4 persons per vehicle.
